Y&G BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Aaron Rios learned about Youth & Government through a presentation to his associated student body class in high school. Since then, he has been involved with our programs in a variety of ways.
Aaron served as a Delegation Advisor and Volunteer Program Staff for our Model Legislature & Court and Model United Nations programs for 24 years. When combined with the 3 years he spent as a delegate, Aaron is now wrapping up his 27th year with Youth & Government.
As a youth delegate, Aaron served as the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate and the Chief of Staff for the Youth Governor. Youth & Government played a transformative role in Aaron’s young adulthood and has brought him together with some of his closest friends in life. He continues to see how the programs transform young adults, including his own two children now.
In his current role as a member of our Board of Directors, Aaron continues to help influence the future of our programs by ensuring they support a strong foundation with the ability to serve thousands of youth each year. Regardless of background or future goals, Aaron encourages all teens to experience Youth & Government and embrace the opportunity to find their voice.
When asked what he would say to a young person considering joining Y&G, Aaron stated, "There are many reasons why you might consider participating in Y&G. The most important is the friendships you will develop that will last a lifetime. You will learn thing you may have wanted to and others you never intended to and will have fun while doing it."
