Although the proceedings of the Youth and Government Conferences are run nearly entirely by the teenaged participants, the program itself would not be possible without the efforts of a staff of highly dedicated adult individuals.
Based in San Mateo as a newly chartered YMCA, the paid staff of the California YMCA Youth & Government makes all the necessary preparations for each conference and recruits an extensive volunteer staff for support at the conferences. The staff is supervised and supported by the Governing Board, and enlists the support of a high level Advisory Board to secure state facilities.
